Erik Weisz, more commonly known as Harry Houdini, was a Hungarian-American escape artist who lived from 1874 to 1926.
The vaudeville performer grew to international acclaim, performing seemingly impossible stunts around the world, and speaking out against fake "spiritualists" along the way. It is thought that those spiritualists might have been involved in his untimely death.
